Cheryl Goldberg

For the last 20 plus years Cheryl Goldberg has loved her work as a massage therapist. Cheryl combines her knowledge of the human body along with her many years practicing yoga to create an inspiring yoga class. As a power vinyasa yoga teacher, Cheryl assists her students to reach their full potential and to know their self worth through yoga. Cheryl shares her life experiences to create a space where her students feel accepted and open to freely express themselves.
Cheryl is a Native Coloradan who enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two teenage sons skiing, hiking, biking and watching their sons play high school sports.

Shannon Thornburg

Shannon is a resident of Eagle Vail, transplanted from Southern California. Enticed by a Groupon deal for a local Bikram studio, Shannon started practicing yoga in 2012. Slowly yoga became a way of life for Shannon and it brings a giant grin to her face every time she steps on her mat and pushes herself to new edges. She has two 200 hour yoga teaching certifications, one from CorePower yoga in 2015 and another from Revolution Power Yoga in 2018. She is also actively seeking her energy practitioner certification through Conscious Transformation. Shannon strives to excite her students to courageously live a life of love full of boundless possibility. Off her mat you will find Shannon paddling, hiking, biking, dancing, painting, snowboarding or stealing as many puppy kisses as possible.

Jenny Harrison

Jenny completed Revolution Power Yoga's 200 hour teacher training in 2015 and Level 1 Baptiste training in 2016. She has lived in the Valley for 20 years and has been practicing Baptiste yoga for 11 years. When she's not on her mat she enjoys being outside with her husband and daughter, snowboarding, gardening, surfing, listening to music and anything French. She came to yoga to try something new not realizing it would completely transform her life. She continued to come back for the enjoyment of the practice and the changes she noticed off of her mat. Challenging yourself on your mat can help you to grow on and off your mat. Yoga has helped her create a more joyful and authentic way of being. It has also helped her access the present moment and new space for possibilities. She became a yoga teacher to share her love and lessons of yoga with others and to create more meaningful connections. Jenny teaches a fun and challenging flow steeped in the Baptiste methodology which is accessible for everyone. Jenny has an uplifting energy for an inspirational class.

Rachel Nelson

Rachel was born and raised in Vail, a true native.
Rachel’s boundless energy and enthusiasm are rooted in her passions: throughout her career as a professional snowboarder, as she has traveled around the world, and while she has committed to the art and practice of teaching yoga, she’s relied on her natural magnetism, positivity and compassion to guide her journey. She contributes as a driver and thought leader for countless initiatives that benefit and bring joy to the community.
Teaching yoga since 2005 and practicing since the mid 90’s, Rachel is a 500hr Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher and Baptiste Faculty member. She travels with Baron Baptiste to assist and lead trainings for the Baptiste Institute. She also holds a 500hr E-RYT, and is a Level 1 & 2 certified igolu coach. Her yoga classes are powerful, playful, challenging, open-hearted, and will leave you with a deeper sense of purpose and authenticity.
Some of her immediate and long-term goals include starting a family, building her coaching & consulting company Roots to Wings Coaching, and creating a vibrant global retreat program.
She enjoys having her family close by and spends much of her free time playing outdoors with her husband Jay and their two dogs, cooking, mtn. Biking, camping, gardening, or snowboarding!

Amanda Buck

Amanda was born and raised in Colorado, moving to the Vail valley in May of 2011 after graduating from Colorado State University. While growing up, Amanda played softball and has always loved the outdoors. Once her softball career was over, she found Baptiste Power Yoga at Revolution Power Yoga and knew it was the style for her. She loves the physical and mental challenge she gets in each class. After practicing at Revolution Power Yoga for over 6 years she took the leap to becoming a teacher herself. Amanda completed the 200 hour teacher training at Revolution Power Yoga in May 2018. She hopes to inspire others to reach for their greatest potential, like she was inspired through this yoga practice. When she's not doing yoga, Amanda can be found at her home in Avon cooking, reading, or gardening; or outside hiking with her dog Sidney, fishing, snowboarding, camping, or simply enjoying the wonderful environment of the Vail Valley.

Rachel DeLong

Rachel began practicing yoga in 2001 as a way to enhance her athletic endeavors. When she discovered Baptiste Power Yoga in 2004 it seemed to be the perfect fit. This powerful practice transformed her life and yoga practice. With a new sense of inspiration and freedom, in 2009 she attended Level 1 training with Baron Baptiste. She attended Level 2 in 2010 and Level 3 in 2011. She is an associate teacher in the process of becoming a certified Baptiste teacher. She is also an ambassador and mentor for Africa Yoga Project which she is passionately raising money for through Yoga Jam events. Join Rachel for a class filled with vitality, empowerment and possibility. Rachel lives in Eagle, Colorado with her two sons and her husband.

Autumn Brown

Autumn Brown lives in Eagle-Vail, Colorado with her husband, Casey, daughter Ellery, and two dogs, Nali and Kinzie. She is an energetic science teacher who enjoys skiing hanging out with family and friends, Oregon football (go Ducks!) and cozying up with a book. Autumn came to Baptiste Yoga to find the balance in her life and found confidence, growth and self-love.

JerriLu Atkins

JerriLu began practicing yoga in 2000 as a way to address sore muscles that stemmed from years of running, cycling and skiing. It was not long before she recognized that the power of yoga reached well beyond enhancement of physical strength and flexibility. It is also an ideal modality for aligning all axes of physical, mental, and spiritual health. As a Family Practice Physician JerriLu has dedicated her life’s work to inspiring others to take a mindful and intentional approach to their personal health and well being. Yoga has given JerriLu access to countless tools to enhance her medical practice as well as her personal sense of well being and she is passionate about sharing the practice with her students as well as her patients.

Living in Boulder, Colorado for fifteen years gave JerriLu the opportunity to practice with many different teachers and a variety of different styles of yoga. Ultimately Power Vinyasa Flow became her favorite, and she especially likes classes that are set to music. In 2011 JerriLu completed her first 200 hour teacher training at Core Power Yoga in Boulder. After moving to the Vail Valley in 2012 JerriLu quickly found her “tribe” at Revolution Power Yoga. She has since completed the 200 hour Teacher Training at Revolution in 2015, Baptiste Level I training in 2016, Level II Baptiste training in 2017, as well as Art of Assisting and Advanced Art of Assisting. JerriLu is committed to creating both a challenging and safe environment for her students and her classes are vigorous, playful and soulful. Off the mat JerriLu enjoys spending long days in the mountains hiking, biking, skiing and trail running.

 

Brooke Skjonsby

Brooke grew up in the Midwest and moved to Boulder in 2000 to attend the University of Colorado, where she earned a degree in marketing and began practicing yoga at a Bikram studio in town. She moved to the Vail Valley in 2006, where she fell in love with hiking, biking, snowboarding and trail running. After practicing at Synergy and Yoga off Broadway for many years, Brooke’s first class at Revolution Power Yoga was in 2014. Fast-forward three years, she has just completed her 200-hour Baptiste inspired yoga teaching training at RPY. Brooke teaches yoga to empower and inspire so that people can access vitality, freedom and transformation. She has a passion for community, connection and celebrating diversity. When not on her mat, Brooke proudly wears the hat of Vail Mountain Marketing Manager and loves spending quality time with friends and family in addition to taking advantage of the many activities in the beautiful outdoors.
An energizing, challenging and powerful class with a fun playlist that will leave you feeling rinsed and revitalized. Expect to move, sweat and leave transformed! Based on Baptiste Yoga’s ‘Journey Into Power’ sequence and suitable for all levels. These classes are heated up to 95 degrees.
