Jarhae Zessin

Jarhae has been practicing yoga since 2012. In 2014 when Jarhae moved to Vail she was searching for a place to feel a sense of community and a good friend invited her to a class at RPY. Jarhae instantly felt at home in the studio. As a classroom teacher Jarhae started to notice how much her students could benefit from yoga. In 2015 Jarhae took her first teacher training from Next Generation Yoga for 2-7 year olds and begin incorporating bits of yoga into her classroom. In 2016 Jarhae became certified from Next Generation Yoga to teach 8-13 year olds. Jarhae has since become certified to teach mindfulness to children through Mindful Schools. These certifications in addition to her background in Psychology provide a holistic approach to bring the Vail Valley’s youngest yogis to their mats in a playful, knowledge based practice. Jarhae is very excited to share her love of yoga and fun with families and children. Jarhae believes it’s not about teaching children how to do yoga it’s about teaching them how to hold on to their natural yogic state.


Jarhae Zessin instructs the following:
  • Yoga for Preschoolers-ages 3-5
  • Yoga for Preschoolers (ages 3-5)*
    *must be potty-trained
     
    Yoga comes to life in these fun and creative classes designed to stimulate a young child’s growing curiosity. Playful yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques, teach 3 to 5 year olds about their budding bodies.

    Sprinkled with music, crafts, picture books and age-appropriate props, we’ll spark the child’s inner yogini while enhancing language development, motor coordination and play skills. Classes are an equal balance between active & passive poses.

    Time: 8:30-9:30am

  • Kids Yoga ages 5-8
  • Kids Yoga ages 5-8 
     
    Classes explore Yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques while conveying lessons in self-expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking, and environmental awareness.
